Aim: To lay down the standard operating procedure for operating a moisture analyzer

Objective: To establish the standard operating procedure for operating a moisture analyzer at the facility

Responsibility:  The user department is responsible for implementing the SOP

Operating Procedure:

• First ensure the moisture analyzer is cleaned state
• Switch on the power supply to the moisture analyzer
• Ensure the air bubble is the level indicator at the center
• Press the power button on the moisture analyzer and the display shows 000
• Now place the aluminum dish and tare it by pressing tare button
• Now put the required quantity of sample by spreading uniformly on the aluminum dish
• Now set the temperature according to the product specification
• Press the start button and wait until the beep sound is observed
• Beep sound indicates end of drying and percent LOD will be displayed

Cleaning Procedure:

• Open the lid of the moisture analyzer and remove the aluminum dish
• Take out the dish holder from the moisture analyzer and clean it
• Using a brush clean all the inside surface of the moisture analyzer and outside surface with lint free cloth
