How to become a railway Pharmacist ?

The Railway Pharmacist job is one of the most competitive jobs as many individuals from different states compete for these employment opportunities. To become a railway pharmacist, you must have the essential qualifications and be able to pass the exam conducted by the railway recruitment board. The last notification came on 23.02.2019 and this year in August to September notification for the recruitment might be expected. So, if you aim to become a pharmacist in the railways, this might be a great opportunity to take on. Govt of India, the Ministry of Railways, and the Railway recruitment board conduct this exam, and the number of posts is limited due to this, the competition is very high, as of 2019 -277 vacancies are filled and a new notification is expected this year.

Salary These are grade 3 roles, and the pay scale is 29200 as per the 2019 notification.

Educational Qualification: To become a railway pharmacist a 10+2 in science or equivalent with a diploma in pharmacy or B.Pharm and must be registered as pharmacist under the pharmacy act 1948.

Mode of Examination and syllabus: The exam is a computer based and for a duration of 90 minutes and contains 100 questions and 70 questions are asked from the pharmacy subject and remaining 30 questions includes general awareness, general arithmetic, general intelligence, reasoning and General science. and it is Multiple choice questions type with one correct answer. and remember negative marking is there.

For each wrong answer marks will be deducted @1/3 of marks allotted for each question.

Syllabus:  You can download the official 2019 notification and look at the syllabus as most of the syllabus for pharmacist involves all the pharmacy subjects and preparation should be done based on previous exam questioning pattern.
