Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Cleaning of Pallets

1.0 Objective
To establish the cleaning procedure for pallets used in the Manufacturing and Packing areas.

2.0 Scope
This SOP applies to all pallets used in the Production department for Manufacturing and Packing.

3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Operator: Responsible for executing the cleaning procedure.
3.2 Pharmacist and above: Responsible for checking and ensuring proper cleaning.

4.0 Accountability
HOD-Production: Accountable for the implementation and compliance with this SOP.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Wipe the pallet with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
5.2 Wipe the entire surface of the pallet with a wet lint-free cloth soaked in purified water.
5.3 Dry the pallet with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
5.4 Wipe the surface again using a lint-free cloth soaked in 70% IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol).
5.5 If the pallet is not used within 72 hours, repeat the cleaning process.
