SOP on Dust Extraction Unit of Compression machine

1.0 OBJECTIVE: To lay down the standard operating procedure for the operation of the Dust extraction unit of the compression machine

2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating the Dust collector of the compression machine

3.0 Responsibility:

3.1The production operator is responsible for the operation of the dust collector of the compression machine

3.2 Production executive shall be responsible for the implementation of SOP

4.0 Accountability:  Head Production

5.0 Procedure :

Definition

Dust Collector: A device used to capture and filter dust and particulate matter generated during the compression process.

5.1 Production executive will ensure the dust collector unit is properly cleaned and no remnants of previous product is present

5.2 Production executive after ensuring the cleanliness of area, equipment take line clearance from QA executive

5.3 After clearance attach suction pipe of dust collector to its respective suction port of the compression machine.

5.4 Switch on the dust collector in compression area and check the airflow to ensure dust is effectively captured.

5.5 Periodically check the functioning of dust collector

5.6 After completion of the activity, first stop the compression machine and then switch off the dust collector

5.7 Clean the dust collector as per cleaning procedure mentioned in the sop.
